This course is curated and taught by licensed therapist Dr. John Robbins and 'Best Local Comedian' in Best of Utah 2023 & 2024, Craig Sorensen.
WHEN
Every TUESDAY for 4 weeks starting Tuesday Jan. 7th through Jan. 28th, 2025.
6PM to 7:30PM at Sugar Space Studios 132 S 800 W, Salt Lake City, UT.

OPTIONAL Student Showcase - February 2nd, 7PM
This is for students--mixed with the teachers--to perform their newly learned skills for friends and family. Students are welcome to participate or not participate at their comfort level. There is a pre-show rehearsal to prepare for the night included in the full course purchase.

COST
$200 for all 4 sessions + Graduation Show Rehearsal + Graduation Show

​Pay as you go with our week to week payment plan! Purchase the $50 session to secure your spot. We will make any needed payment plan with you at your first workshop.
All workshop purchases come with two vouchers to see any Crowdsourced show. Once the class fee is paid, your name will be added to the student list, and we will email you confirmation.

Additional Details
This workshop is held in a safe, judgement-free environment. Our instructors help you comfortably come out of your shell using fun, interactive exercises. These activities are designed to help participants build confidence and reduce social anxiety through improvisation.
The improv lessons provide much more than laughing with each other! Participants will learn about the power of positive self-talk, how playing is self-care, and some strategies for managing unhelpful thoughts and emotions.

Throughout the course students will harness positivity, confidence, and equip practical tools for managing anxiety in social situations. And like any of our classes, you just might make a few friends along the way. All folks are welcome regardless of race, gender, orientation, status, age, or ability!
​
The only thing you’ll have to prepare for this class is a curious mind and willing attitude! There will be an optional, free student performance for those interested in demonstrating their new skills for friends and family.
